Changing Policy and Protocols for Giving Epinephrine Safely at School

School nurses are facing many changes in the policies and protocols for administering epinephrine at school. Laws have been passed in over 45 states that allow the use of stock epinephrine.  Many school nurses now have the responsibility of teaching unlicensed  persons to administer epinephrine in emergency scenarios. In this segment we look as sound policies to guide an emergency response.
