Brian McDavitt @bmcd25

Brian McDavitt spent ten years teaching elementary students in Pleasant Hill, MO. He taught third grade for eight years and has taught fourth for two. In addition to teaching in the classroom, he has served as vice-president and president of his district's professional development committee, been a team leader for third and fourth grades, and is the chair of his building's standards based grading committee. Starting in August, 2016, Brian will be taking on a new position as the Technology Integration Specialist for Millennium @ Santa Fe Elementary School, part of the Hickman Mills C-1 School District in Kansas City, MO.  He holds a BA in Elementary Education from Graceland University and a Master of Education in Technology-Enhanced Teaching from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Brian is passionate about creating authentic learning experiences for his students, technology integration, professional development, and improving classroom management. Rob Sheppard

In over 10 years of English language teaching Rob has held a variety of roles in many teaching contexts. These include the cram-school culture of Taiwan and Korea; intensive academic English programs in Boston; advanced conversation and TOEFL prep via Skype; and nonprofit adult English programs for immigrants to Greater Boston. He is the founder and CEO of Ginseng English, former director of adult education and interim executive director at Quincy Asian Resources, a member of the community advisory council at First Literacy. He has a master’s degree in TESOL from The New School, and his areas of interest include pronunciation and grammar instruction, curriculum development, and assessment. He is also a regular contributor to the TESOL Blog on the topic of adult education.

Heather is the Education Coordinator for a non profit child care agency in Lafayette, Indiana. She has worked with children and families for over 25 years. In 2015, she was recognized as one of Exchange Press's Promising Emerging Leaders.

Nancy Striniste

Nancy Striniste, MLD is the founder and principal designer at Earlyspace, LLC, a landscape design firm dedicated to creating earth-friendly, people-friendly landscapes. Nancy is a former preschool teacher with a degree from Wheelock College whose passion for creating spaces led her to become a landscape designer. She earned a Master's degree from the prestigious George Washington University's Sustainable Landscape Design Program. She specializes in creating outdoor play and learning spaces that connect children to nature.
