In Pursuit of the Perfect Child

Dr.Alvin Rosenfeld says that our culture has driven parents and parenting to the extremes. Parents trying hard to meet the model of the perfect parent and the perfect child have become hyper-parents. In the process many have lost confidence in themselves. Dr. Rosenfeld tell’s parents how to get the balance right and get their confidence back.

After graduating from Cornell University and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rosenfeld later joined Stanford University Medical School’s faculty where he headed its child psychiatry training program. In addition to having a private practice of adult and child psychiatry in New York City and Connecticut, he has authored five books, including, Hyper-Parenting (St. Martins) and its paperback edition, The Over-Scheduled Child, co-authored with Nicole Wise.
